It was a game that will be remembered for the sheer brilliance of the Lady Dolphins, who showed no mercy as they dismantled their opponents with ruthless efficiency.
From the opening whistle, it was clear that the Lady Dolphins were on a mission. They held the Lady Marines to just six points in the first quarter while scoring a remarkable 35 points themselves.
The Lady Marines simply had no answer to the Lady Dolphins' relentless pressure, and the gap between the two teams only widened as the game went on.
By halftime, the Lady Dolphins had already scored 65 points while holding the Lady Marines to just 15.
It was a remarkable display of dominance that left the Lady Marines reeling and searching for answers.
The second half was no different as the Lady Dolphins continued to pour on the points.
They had seven players score in double digits, with Brenda Ekone leading the way with 20 points and 15 rebounds.
Hope Akello, Becky Longom, and Christine Namulumba also had double doubles, scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds, 16 points and 18 rebounds, and 18 points and 23 rebounds respectively.
The Lady Dolphins' bench was also in fine form, contributing 58 points to the team's total.
By the end of the game, the Lady Dolphins had scored a whopping 130 points, becoming the first ladies' team this season to break the 100 point barrier.
For the Lady Marines, it was a day to forget. Patience Mauso and Nyakake Pearl were the only players to score in double digits, with 14 and 11 points respectively.
It was simply not enough to stem the tide of the Lady Dolphins' relentless attack.
In other games played on Sunday, the KCCA Leopards continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 55-44 win over the Miracle Ravens.
Ruth Atuheire led all scorers with 15 points for the Leopards.
The Lady Dolphins will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they face the KIU Rangers on Good Friday at the MTN Lugogo Arena.
If they can continue to play with the same level of intensity and skill that they displayed on Sunday, they will be a force to be reckoned with in the National Basketball League this season.
