Jordan Nwora had his best performance for the Indiana Pacers in the victory against the Orlando Magic.
The Indiana Pacers recorded a 121 - 108 victory away against the Orlando Magic in the early hours of Sunday, February 26, 2023.
The Pacers had lost six of their last seven games before facing a youthful Magic side.
Led by All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers made their early domination count to take a two-point lead.
The Magic responded led by Rookie of the year front runner Paolo Banchero to win the second quarter by three points.
The Magic went to the break with a one-point lead but were unable to stop the barrage of attacks by a resurgent Pacers team in the third quarter.
The Pacers established an eight-point lead going into the final quarter. The offense was unstoppable for both sides in the fourth quarter.
The Pacers recorded a 39-point fourth quarter and held on to outlast the Magic in a 13-point victory.
Jordan Nwora shines for Pacers
Nigerian-American professional basketball player Jordan Ifeanyi Nwora had an impressive outing for the Pacers against the Magic.
The 24-year-old was once again named to the bench unit by Pacers Head Coach Rick Carlisle.
He featured for 22 minutes and was able to record 18 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and one steal.
Nwora made eight of 12 shots, including one from five from three-point range, and made one of three from teh free throw line.
It was the most points Nwora has scored for the Pacers since he was traded by the Milwaukee Bucks.
Speaking to Bally Sports Indiana after the victory, Nwora thanked his new Pacers teammates for helping him settle in.
He said, "Everybody has been super accommodating to me and helping me out. They know I'm here to help the team and I'm happy to be with these guys."
The Pacers return to action in their next fixture away against the Dallas Mavericks scheduled for Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
