Nwora outshines Azubuike in his first game for the Pacers against Jazz.
The Indiana Pacers suffered a 123-117 home loss to the Utah Jazz in an NBA fixture played in the early hours of Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
The Pacers started off hot on offense with a 33-point first quarter to establish a six-point lead.
The Jazz recovered in the second quarter cutting the deficit to take a one-point lead to the halftime break.
The third quarter was an explosion of offense from both sides as the Pacers led by new All-Star Tyrese Haliburton were able to level the score.
In the fourth quarter, the Jazz were able to execute in clutch time to record a six-point victory against the Jazz.
Jordan Nwora shines for Pacers on debut
Nigerian-American professional basketball player Jordan Ifeanyi Nwora made his debut for the Indiana Pacers in the loss against the Jazz.
Speaking ahead of the game, Nwora explained that he is ready to fufill any role given to him by Head Coach Rick Carlisle.
He said, "Happy to be here with these guys. It's definitely going to be new, but I'm ready for the task.
"Whatever Rick needs me to do and the team needs me to do, I'll be ready to do it."
Nwora started the game off the bench but provided a spark for the Pacers with the second unit.
He featured for 18 minutes, scored seven points, grabbed three rebounds, and contributed one assist and two steals.
Nwora made three of his eight shots, one of two from three-point range, and was active on the defensive end.

Azubuike featured for 13 minutes, scored four points, grabbed nine rebounds, and made both two shots.
Nwora was dealt to the Pacers from the Milwaukee Bucks at the NBA trade deadline on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
He will aim to get his first victory when the Pacers return to action at home against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday, February 16, 2023.
