City Oilers head coach Mandy Juruni is okay with his side's Basketball Africa League conference opponents.
Juruni, who has overseen all the club's eight league titles, told Pulse Sports that all the clubs in the competition deserve to be at that level.
"It doesn't matter. All 12 teams deserve to be at this level. They earned it. So you expect to play and give our best against any team ahead of you," the tactician said.
"It's exciting to be playing and coaching at this level; we are looking forward to the games and preparations," he added. The Oilers will debut at the continent's premier club competition.
The Ugandan side is pooled in the Nile Conference alongside Beira - CFV (Mozambique), Petro De Luanda (Angola), Al Ahly (Egypt), Cape Town Tigers (South Africa and SLAU (Guinea).
Nigeria's Kwara Falcons, Stade Malian (Mali), REG (Rwanda), US Monastir (Tunisia), Abidjan BC (Ivory Coast), and AS Douanes (Senegal) complete the Sahara conference.
The top four teams from each conference will qualify for the BAL Playoffs and finals in a singles elimination tournament at the BK Arena from May 21st - 27th.
Monastir are the defending champions of the BAL tournament after they defeated Angola's Petro De Luanda in last year's final played at the Kigali Arena in Rwanda.
Oilers finally broke their BAL jinx and qualified for the tournament after beating Urunani in a third-place match during the Elite 16 division East in Johannesburg, South Africa.
