The Kenya basketball men’s national team captain Victor Bosire will lead a 12-man squad for the FIBA Africa AfroCan tournament in Luanda, Angola, which will take place from July 8-16.
Bosire, a serial point guard, has been selected alongside United States of International University guard Ariel Ortega, the Kenya Ports Authority duo of Eugene Adera and Brian Shivachi, and Tanzania-based Bramwell Muchina who will be debuting.

Team Kenya won 65-42 over South Sudan in their friendly match held at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday night.
Kenyan international Tom Wamukota, who currently plays for the Rwanda Basketball League club APR, will also be making a return to the national team.
Also selected is US-based Derrick Ogechi, who also made the squad during the 2021 AfroBasket squad but didn’t play.
Shooting Guard Erick Mutoro of Ulinzi Warriors has also been selected and will be joined by Fidel Okoth of Strathmore University.
Griffin Ligare and Ken Wachira will also take the mantle in the guard position as Victor Ochieng who participated in the 2021 Afro Basket qualifiers in Yaounde, Cameroon.
