Seventh-placed KIU Rangers face the table toppers and newly promoted side, the JT Lady Jaguars, in the National Basketball League on Wednesday.

A comprehensive 94-32 victory for the Rangers against A1 Challenge in their last game took their record to 3-3 to split their opening six games.

After the dismissal of Roger Serunyigo, the Rangers have won two of their last three games.

The message from the acting head coach Julius Lutwama is to win every game. "We need to play to win every game, and that will help us as a team to build momentum and help us get a good seeding for the playoffs," Lutwama told Pulse Sports.

Lutwama knows they can pull off a shocker by getting the basics right. "We have to respect them like every other team, but we have to play to win; our strategy will always be to put a lot of effort into defence and play proper team basketball,” he added.

The JT Lady Jaguars are in a fantastic run of form after winning their last six games and will want to make it seven to consolidate their place on top of the standings and take their season record to 8-1.

Sarah Ageno continues to be the difference maker for the Jaguars as she averages an impressive 15.2 points and 12.5 rebounds per game.

Their last match delivered a comprehensive 72- 56 win against inform KCCA leopards on Friday and will go into this game favourites to win the encounter.
