KIU Titans made light work of Dmark Power Friday night at YMCA to register a third straight win the National Basketball League.
The Kansanga-based side defeated the five-time champions 79-61 to complete a regular season double.
The start was perfect for the Titans, taking the first quarter 22-14 to set the pace and there was no looking back and the lead grew to 25 points at some point.
A scoring clinic in the second quarter saw the Titans us the frames to establish a 23-point lead going into the half-time break and from there onwards, it was about limiting the damage for Power.
Timothy Odeke’s charges struggled to get stops and were heavily punished by Peter Obleng, who shot six-for-20 from the field on his way to a team-high 16 points.
Denis Balungu contributed 13 points while Saidi Amisi and Innocent Ochera added 11 apiece for the Titans.

The victory was KIU’s sixteenth of the season. The Titans have lost three and still have City Oilers, Ndejje Angels and Kampala Rockets to conclude their regular season business.
It was also a third straight victory for the team that defeated UPDF Tomahawks (64-58) and KCCA Panthers (75-45) in the previous two games.
Isaac Afidra scored a game-high 17 points for the 2011 champions while Guellord Mobanza and Elvis Mutebi added 11 and 10 respectively.
