BAL Kwara Falcons open camp Monday, begin preparation

Kwara Falcons will become Nigeria’s second representative at Africa's biggest basketball show.

Ahead of this year’s Basketball Africa League (BAL), Nigeria’s representative, the Kwara Falcons, will begin her preparation as camp opens on Monday.

The club, in a statement, confirmed that players will report to the club's training court on Monday morning.

The players will meet the coach and the backroom staff to discuss the club's camping exercise.

The statement added that the management is proposing a move for foreign professionals to join the team.

Rivers Hoopers is Nigeria's first representative in BAL, the Rivers club played at the maiden edition in 2021.

The BAL season three will see the return of a Nigerian team to the elite league after Nigeria suspended all teams from competing at international competitions for two years due to a leadership crisis in the NBBF.

BAL holds scouting event for Players

BAL has held a two-day scouting event that featured 30 players from Africa, Europe, and the United States and took place at the One Ball Training Center in Paris.

Rivers hoopers

The scouting program was held between January 15 and 16.

The players took part in anthropometric and athletic testing, positional skill development, and 5-on-5 games in front of attending scouts, coaches, and executives from the 12 club teams that qualified for the 2023 BAL season.

The 2023 BAL season will tip off on Saturday, March 11, in Dakar, Senegal.
