The hitmaker’s choice will is set to divide opinion on the raging debate of who is the greatest NBA player of all time
LeBron James and Michael Jordan are the two players most mentioned in the NBA's greatest of all time debate.
According to rapper Lil Wayne, it is not much of a debate at all. James is the GOAT, followed by Jordan and then Kobe Bryant, he said during an appearance on the All The Smoke podcast.

NBA FINALS Aaron Gordon leads Denver Nuggets to win against Miami Heat in Game 4
In Game 4 against the Miami Heat, the Denver Nuggets required a player other than Nikola Jokic or Jamal Murray to carry them.
Wayne said that he initially felt Jordan was the greatest of all time because he won multiple championships, but he said James winning titles with three different franchises put him atop the list.
“I got old enough to know how hard it is to do it back-to-back-to-back,” Wayne said. “So that’s where he [Jordan] got his respect with me, and started getting his respect with me to where he’s the greatest. It’s very hard to do. Bron did that with three teams.”

NBA FINALS Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray bag triple-double as Denver Nuggets beat Miami Heat in Game 3
The Denver Nuggets take Game 3 win against the Miami Heat thanks to Jokic and Murray's triple-doubles.
And while James may not have as many rings as Jordan, that does not matter to Wayne.
“That right there… he ain’t got six, but he done it with three different teams,” said Wayne. “And not on one of those teams did he play role two. That right there is what tipped him over the Jordan scale for me.”
Jordan won six NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls, three straight from 1991-1993 and another three straight from 1996-1998.
James, meanwhile, has won four titles, two of which came as a member of the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013. He also won with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 and the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.

NBA FINALS Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro ruled out of Game 3 against the Nuggets
Tyler Herro has been ruled out for Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Denver Nuggets, with his return to the series now highly unlikely.
Bryant, who died in January 2020 after a helicopter crash, played his entire career at LA Lakers, winning five titles in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, and 2010.
Considering James is also 38 years old and still competing at a high level, he also still has some time left to tie Jordan's six titles.
