The NBA is excited about Argentine superstar Lionel Messi moving to Major League Soccer (MLS).
Giannis Antetokounmpo, a Greek professional basketball player of Nigerian heritage for the Milwaukee Bucks, and Kevin Durant, a scorer for the Phoenix Suns, were ecstatic following Lionel Messi's decision to join Inter Miami.
KD and Giannis reacted favorably to Messi's choice to join Inter Miami by tweeting their excitement about the transfer as soon as his contract was finalized.
The two shared their enthusiasm to watch the perhaps best player of this generation play while welcoming him to US sports.
Giannis on Messi
It should be simple for Giannis to see the Argentine goal scorer when the two clubs meet because Inter Miami and Nashville SC where Antetokoumpo and brothers own shares are in the same conference.
On Twitter, he wrote, “Welcome to the MLS Messi!! See you at Nashville,”
Durant on Messi
The Philadelphia Union and Major League Soccer were both mentioned in the post by the Suns forward.
Durant a shareholder with the Union in the Eastern Conference as well, said, “Welcome, Messi. Let's get it.”
Gabe Vincent on Messi
Nigerian-American professional basketball player Gabe Vincent for the Miami Heat also gave his thoughts on Messi joining Inter Miami.
Vincent said, "I think it was a great move on his part.
"From what I saw about the deal, it looks like it was a no-brainer to make."
As he seeks to escape the stress and expectations of playing top-flight football in Europe, Messi stated that joining MLS was the best decision for him.
