The first-round report card has City Oilers on an 11-0 run and top of the table with 22 points.

The second round of the National Basketball League will tip off with a repeat of last year’s finals.

Namuwongo Blazers and City Oilers will lock horns on June 16 to open the action of what is expected to be an intense second half of the season.

According to the fixture released by the FUBA, the two finalists will meet at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.

The first-round report card has City Oilers on an 11-0 run and top of the table with 22 points.

On the other hand, the Blazers are third on the log with an 8-3 record and 19 points.

Mandy Juruni’s charges are still untouchable but were well-tested the last time they came up against the Blazers in the first round.

The defending champions defeated Blazers 57-51 in a tightly-contested clash on April 14.

On the same day, there will be a top-of-the-table clash in the women’s top division as last season’s losing finalists, JKL Lady Dolphins and JT Lady Jaguars, face off.

The newly promoted Lady Jaguars are on top of the log with a 9-2 record, while JKL are second with a similar return.

Regular season action will climax on August 19, while the playoffs start on August 25.

Lugogo and YMCA are the two venues that will host most of the action in the second round, with the KIU courts only allocated the weekend of August 12.

Abja Park and UCU Mukono, the other two grounds that hosted games in the first round, have been left out by the federation.
