The suspension means that Odongo will miss his side's next two games, against his former side Dmark Power and eight-time champions City Oilers.

Namuwongo Blazers captain Paul Odongo has been suspended for two games and handed a fine of $200 by Fuba.

Fuba President Nasser Sserunjogi and General Secretary Hudson Ssegamwenge have confirmed the development.

Odongo blasted referees and called them crap and rusty after the Blazers lost 87-77 to the UCU Canons last Friday.

In his post-game interview after the loss, the small forward did not mince his words, blaming referees for the team's overtime defeat.

"The refs were crap. The refs were crap. We all saw that," Odongo said in the aftermath of a tightly contested affair at Lugogo.

The suspension means that Odongo will miss his side's next two games, against his former side Dmark Power and eight-time champions City Oilers.

The Blazers are 2-1 so far this season, the loss to UCU Canons sandwiched by wins over JKL Dolphins and KCCA Panthers.

Odongo is one of four National Basketball League players to get sanctioned by the federation.

UPDF Tomahawks have two players suspended and fined.

David Opolot is accused of engaging in a brawl with KCCA's Martin Ouma Buluma when the two sides met last Wednesday, and both players have been suspended for the actions.

Opolot, who is said to have started the altercation by punching Buluma, has been handed a three-game suspension and ordered to pay $200.

He will sit out UPDF's games against KIU Titans, Power and UCU Canons.

Buluma will miss one game for his side against the newly promoted Kampala Rockets and also pay a fine of $200.

UPDF's Ferdinand Odama has been trending for the wrong reasons since Sunday after taking out City Oilers' Titus Lual mid-air as the centre attempted to dunk on a fast break.

The forward has been found guilty of foul play and endangering an opponent and is suspended for two games and fined $200.
