Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior has fun with NBA star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has developed a bond with OKC Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The two pals connected over shared interests in sports and fashion.
The two athletes are actually good buddies. Back in January, Vinicius gave Shai a game-used jersey that he autographed.
Along with the jersey was a personalized note saying, "For Shai Gilgeous you are the future. I love your style!"
Gilgeous-Alexander, a star player for NBA franchise the Oklahoma City Thunder, went to the first match of the Champions League semifinals between Real Madrid and Manchester City on Tuesday to cheer on his friend.
After the game, the two professional athletes met up.
Vinicius, 22, and Gilgeous-Alexander, 24, share similarities. Both are seen as generational talents in their sports known for their effortless ways of playing.
Fashion seems to be a big connection between them Vinicius and Gilgeous-Alexander.
Gilgeous-Alexander recently got a lot of attention for his outfit at the Met Gala and was named the most stylish man of 2022 by GQ.
Vinicius Junior, who is a big basketball fan, is also involved in fashion through different projects.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander makes All-NBA first team
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, a guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, made the 2022-23 All-NBA First Team.
The 24-year-old averaged 31 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 1. 5 minutes per game during the 68 games he played last season.
He set personal bests for points, steals, blocks, field goal percentage and free throw percentage. Shai also earned two Western Conference Player of the Week awards and inspired the Thunder to a good run in the play-in tournament.
Since Gilgeous-Alexander has just begun his offseason, he will have plenty of time to witness Real Madrid's attempt to overcome Manchester City in the second leg of the semi-final next week.
