The JT Lady Jaguars displayed their utter dominance, overpowering the Kampala University Ladies with a staggering 94-27 triumph in the National Basketball League at the NCS Arena on Sunday.

Following their defeat against the JKL Lady Dolphins on Friday night, the Lady Jaguars were resolute in their determination to get back on track.

Right from the start, they showcased exceptional intensity, swiftly building a commanding 47-9 lead by halftime.

The team demonstrated remarkable efficiency, converting on nearly every possession.

Sarah Ageno, who contributed 17 points and 16 rebounds, earned the well-deserved title of player of the game.

Ageno emphasized the significance of bouncing back after the previous loss: "Our shots were consistently falling today, and we aggressively approached the game.”

This victory allows us to regain our winning momentum, and we can now eagerly anticipate our upcoming matches," Ageno expressed in an interview with Pulse Sports.

Despite suffering a heavy defeat, Lady Eagles' head coach, Joe Mashereka, remained optimistic, acknowledging the positives from the game and emphasizing the need for a resilient fighting spirit.

"I observed the players executing some of the strategies we practised during the week,” Mashereka stated in an interview with this website.

“However, if we are to give ourselves a fighting chance in the next games, we must be highly competitive.”

With this impressive victory, the Lady Jaguars reclaim the top position in the league, albeit temporarily.

In their next match, they will face the bottom-ranked Nkumba Lady Marines, aiming to secure back-to-back wins and solidify their place at the summit.

On the other hand, the Kampala University Ladies Club currently occupies the eighth position with a 4-8 record.

In their upcoming fixture, they will face the A1 Challenge, hoping to bounce back from this defeat and return to their winning ways.
