KCCA Panthers' first-half performance proved too much for the JKL Dolphins in the National Basketball League, as they secured a 78-69 victory in a thrilling encounter at Lugogo.

Led by Emmanuel Odankagara's 18 points, the Panthers showcased a well-rounded offensive display with three other starters recording double-digit scores.

Wol Wol Mawien and Salim Kisilu chipped in 15 and 14 points respectively, while Daniel Gaaki contributed 14 points to help secure the win.

The Panthers' dominance in the first half proved to be the difference in the end, outscoring the Dolphins 42-33, despite a valiant effort by the latter in the second half, which ended in a 36-36 draw.

Bienfait Lola Mimani was the standout performer for the JKL Dolphins with 20 points, but his individual brilliance was not enough to secure the victory.

Denis Tom Omara, John Focus Teko, and Gideon Eotu also recorded double-digit scores for the Dolphins, but their missed opportunities in the first and second quarter cost them dearly.

Looking ahead, the JKL Dolphins will face the UCU Canons in their next game, seeking to get their second victory of the season.

Meanwhile, the KCCA Panthers will also face the UCU Canons in their upcoming fixture, aiming to secure back-to-back victories.
