In a commanding display at the YMCA Court, the KIU Rangers left a resounding message for the remaining competition in the National Basketball League playoffs, dispatching the JT Lady Jaguars with a score of 68-41 in the first game of their semi-final series.

Amaniyo Rose Mary, who has been a standout player in these playoffs, continued to shine, delivering a game-high 26 points, 16 rebounds, and a double-double performance.

Taking the initiative in the first quarter, the Kansanga-based team surged ahead, finishing 22-11.

Although their opponents made a comeback effort in the second quarter, the KIU Rangers maintained control, leading 32-24 at halftime.

The third quarter proved to be the turning point, with the JT Lady Jaguars struggling against the suffocating defense of the KIU Rangers, managing to score only seven points while the Rangers amassed 22.

Game two is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 pm at the YMCA Court, where the Lady Jaguars will aim to level the series, or the Rangers may take a commanding 2-0 lead.
