Power Basketball Club and Namuwongo Blazers meet in the National Basketball League on Friday at the MTN Lugogo Arena as both sides look for consistency.

In the recent head-to-head record, Power has won two out of the last three games despite the Blazers winning the previous encounter, 76-68.

In the current season, Power has won two of their last three games and recently defeated the Ndejje Angels 69-59.

They were bouncing back after their humbling 106- 49 loss against the defending champions, City Oilers. That victory in the last game has given them a 2-1 record in the league so far this season, a decent return for a side that was promoted to the top flight in the offseason.

This season, Elvis Ssentongo and Isaac Afidra have averaged 15 points and 12 rebounds per game, respectively, for the five-time champions, Power.

The Blazers will be without captain and talisman Paul Odongo, as he is currently suspended for the next two games and fined $200 by the governing body, FUBA.

The suspension is about the comments he made about the referees after their 87-77 overtime defeat against the UCU Canons last Friday.

His leadership will be missed on the court, but the Blazers will look to Geoffrey Soro to step up and inspire his side to victory, as he has averaged 16 points per game this season, the fifth-best in the league.

The bench will be crucial for the Blazers if they are to win this game, as they have only contributed 46 points this season compared to the 85 by their opponents.

Defensively, Power has a better rating (85.3) than their opponents (79.0) and will go in as slight favourites to win the game and go two games above .500 for the first time this season.
