NBA franchise Toronto Raptors gift Afrobeats star Rema jersey.
Nigerian singer, songwriter, and rapper Divine Ikubor, known professionally as Rema, is back on the trends on social media.
The 23-year-old is trending after his latest world tour performance in Toronto Canada.
Rema accomplished another astounding milestone on August 8, 2023, when he sold out Toronto's 2,500-seat REBEL Theatre.
Currently, on tour in North America, Rema has sold out venues throughout numerous American cities and now showcased his talents in Toronto, Canada.
Toronto Raptors and Rema
Following his performance, Rema received a gift from the NBA franchise the Toronto Raptors.
This is not Rema's first involvement with basketball as he performed at the halftime show of the 2023 NBA All-Star game along with Nigerian artists Burna Boy and Tems.
Toronto DJ, producer, and recording artist 4Korner presented Rema with a Raptors jersey.
The Raptors confirmed the jersey gift through a statement on their official social media platforms that said, "Raps Nation 🤝 @heisrema 🇳🇬
"@4korners presenting Rema with our jersey signed by hundreds of his fans after his show in the city!
Rema and Nike
Rema has been involved in basketball more recently as he teamed up with Michael Jordan and Luka Doncic for the latest Jordan Brand collection.
Rema may be getting a signature shoe soon as he shared a clear image of an anticipated "AIR REMA" version of the Nike Air Jordan 1 silhouette on Twitter in May.
As part of a new AJ1 release, Nike and Air Jordan continue their tradition of global cooperation by working with Nigerian musician Rema.
There is no official date for the official release, but Pulse Sports will continue to keep tabs.
