The National Basketball League is set for a Friday night showdown between Miracle Ravens and UCU Lady Canons.
The Ravens are on a two-game winning streak, having beaten Kampala University Ladies Club and Nkumba Lady Marines, and sit in eighth place in the table.
Meanwhile, UCU Lady Canons are on a roll, having won their last four fixtures and currently in third place behind JKL Lady Dolphins and JT Lady Jaguars.
Lady Canons' captain, Hajjara Najjuko, spoke about her team's preparation ahead of the game and the team captains' role in the absence of their coaches, who have been away for personal reasons.
"We have been training well despite the absence of their coaches, but the captains have been in charge, and the training has gone on well," Najuuko told Pulse Sports.
As a team, we are ready to take the game to our opponents and get the win," she added.
Najjuko expressed her team's eagerness to get back on the court as the squad last played a game a while back since their initial weekend game against Nabisunsa Girls was postponed.
"The squad is excited to play the game tomorrow as we were last in action a while back. We are locked in and ready to go out and perform and get the win come tip-off," Najjuko added.
With both teams in good form and looking to build on their winning runs, this game promises to be an enthralling encounter.
As the Ravens and Lady Canons gear up for the big game, basketball fans can expect an action-packed match with no shortage of drama and excitement.
