The Uganda Gazelles found the going tough in their FIBA Women’s Afrobasket 2023 classification game against Mozambique Thursday evening in Kigali, Rwanda.
Having fallen to Rwanda in the quarter-final on Wednesday night, the Gazelles were looking to fight for fifth place but could not handle the heat presented by a much better Mozambique side.
Playing without Jane Asinde, who twisted her ankle against Rwanda, Uganda struggled to get out of the blocks and were chasing the game all evening.
