AFROBASKET Watch: Uganda's Gazelles vibe to Gravity, Alien Skin, Bobi Wine after thrashing DRC
Following the triumph, like it's been the case in the past days, the crowd and the Gazelles unleashed the party vibe.
Uganda’s offence was static in the second and third quarters and contributed to the defeat as Rwanda smelt blood and went on to grab the win.
Apart from Otto, Melissa Akullu was the only other Ugandan to score in double figures on the night. She scored 16 points and added 13 rebounds for a double-double display.
Jane Asinde and Claire Lamunu, with six points apiece, were Uganda’s next big contributors offensively, while Priscilla Abby contributed two points.
Flavia Oketcho, Lydia Babirye, Hope Akello and Brenda Ekone all finished the game with no single point on a night Uganda shot one-for-19 from beyond the arc.
Uganda will now focus on fighting for position five in the classification games that start on Thursday.
