Jimmy Enabu picked up the Player of the Game medal with 14 points, three rebounds and four assists in 18 minutes.

City Oilers continued with their excellent run of form in the National Basketball League with a commanding 84-41 thrashing of Rezlife Saints Wednesday night at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium.

The victory, the Oilers’ sixteenth of the season, was somewhat expected and turned out to be one-sided as the defending champions wiped the floor with the opponents.

Highly-fancied Oilers got out of the block early to take the first quarter 17-09 and were out of sight after an 18-07 second-quarter performance that gave them a 35-16 lead going into the halftime break.

The vocal Rezlife fanbase remained hopeful and continued to push their team to victory, albeit with no success.

Mandy Juruni’s charges took the third and fourth frames 24-14 and 25-11, respectively, to extend their unbeaten run and condemn the Saints to yet another defeat.

The defeat was Rezlife’s fourth of the second round and extended their winless run to five games.

In the second round, Daniel Juuko’s charges had already fallen to Our Saviour, KIU Titans and UCU Canons.

With their 3-11 record, Rezlife remained rooted at the base of the 12-team log, staring relegation in the face.

Jimmy Enabu picked up the Player of the Game medal with 14 points, three rebounds and four assists in 18 minutes.

Mer Maker marked his return to the Oilers with 13 points and eight rebounds off the bench, while Ben Komakech contributed 10 points, two rebounds and six assists in the massacre.

Titus Lual pulled down 11 rebounds to go with seven points.

For Rezlife, Michael Otieno’s team-high nine points meant that no one scored in double figures on the night.
