The UPDF Tomahawks secured a hard-fought 64-62 victory over Dmark Power in the National Basketball League played on Wednesday at the MTN Lugogo Arena.

The win broke a three-game losing streak for the Tomahawks, who relied on Johnathan Egau's game-winning basket to seal the deal.

Apart from Egau, several other players from the Tomahawks stepped up to the plate, including Andrew Gang and Jafar Remo, who contributed 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Meanwhile, Arthur Wanyoto dominated both ends of the floor, scoring 10 points and grabbing 15 rebounds, further highlighting his importance to the team.

Despite making five three-pointers, Power's poor shooting display from behind the arc prevented them from taking the lead heading into the break.

Guellord Mobanza was the only player to score in double digits for Power, finishing with a game-high 29 points off the bench, including a game-tying three-pointer that cemented his status as the sixth man of the year.

With the win, the UPDF Tomahawks will be looking to build momentum as they prepare to face the UCU Canons in their next game.

Dmark Power, on the other hand, will need to regroup and bounce back when they take on the Kampala Rockets, where they will be the favorites.

Overall, it was an exciting and closely contested game, and both teams can take pride in their performances.
