Recently, it was revealed that the British heavyweights will play their match live at London's Wembley Stadium on September 21.
Oleksandr Usyk relinquished the official championship this week, and Dubois, 26, was elevated from interim champion to the IBF crown.
Although 34-year-old Joshua and Dubois seemed friendly during news appearances, footage from earlier that day revealed a heated altercation between the two.
Joshua declared he was prepared for battle during an interview with Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren, the fighters' promoters.
Joshua makes Chair threat
Dubois said, "Let's go, let's go," to which his promoter Warren retorted, "But let's wait until September 21."
Dubois went on, "If he wants to swing, go, let's go now." Joshua responded, "Shut up, relax, relax."
This led Joshua to say, “I’ll put this chair across your f***ing face,” AJ said, as the pair stood and were restrained, leading the interview to be cut.
Joshua said he doesn't take disrespect lightly and that Dubois shouldn't be at the table telling him we can leave now, referring to his former sparring partner as a small boy.
Joshua is coming into Wembley having won four straight, three of which were by knockout, while Dubois is 2-0 following his August stoppage loss to Usyk.
The victor of Usyk's rematch with Tyson Fury, scheduled for December, is anticipated to be paired with the winner of September's main event.
