In a solid development on the local boxing scene, the Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) has introduced belts for all the winners at the forthcoming Boxing Champions League finale.
The 32-bout finale will climax at the UMA Show Grounds on December 26 Boxing Day, to round off a scintillating year of boxing.
The Boxing Day finale will witness 25 belts given out to 13 male and 12 female boxers.
Winners will be decided by the points accumulated from the 2023 Champions League boxing bouts.
Where boxers are tied, UBF president Moses Muhangi underlined that Head-to-Head will be the breaker, and then, a five-judge panel.
Muhangi further revealed that the future will have boxers and their coaches walk away with monetary gains as the sport continues to grow in leaps and bounds.
Some of the massively anticipated bouts for the Saturday finale will see Broline Kimbugwe tussle it out with Muzamir Ssemuddu in the Light Middleweight.
National team skipper Joshua Tukamuhebwa will lock horns with Paul Raskara in the Light Welterweight category, while Ukasha Matovu and Owen Kibira will vie in the Welterweight category, among other fights.
