Jake Paul and brother Logan chop up the loss to Tommy Fury.
American social media personality and professional boxer Jake Paul has dissected his last fight in Saudi Arabia.
After eight rounds of action, Paul suffered a split decision loss to British professional boxer and reality television personality Tommy Fury.
The fight attracted superstars such as Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, and former WBC heavyweight champions Mike Tyson and Deontay Wilder.
Paul and brother break down fight against Fury
Jake sat down with his brother American social media personality, actor, and professional wrestler Logan Paul to give their insight about the fight.
They both sat down on Logan Paul’s podcast titled ‘Impaulsive’, to talk about the fight in detail.
It was the first career defeat for Paul since he turned professional in 2020.
Paul was not satisfied with the decision by the judges stating that he at least deserved a draw.
He said, “I think it was a draw, honestly.”
“I’m not saying I should have won, or whatever, I’m saying it probably could have been a draw. So Tommy should want to come back and actually beat me properly.”
Paul also cited several reasons for his defeat. He explained that his heavy legs were a problem because of a wet dream.
He said, "I woke up in a panic like, 'F***.' You have two weeks of testosterone built up and so a wet dream happens.
"It makes your legs weak… I think it's one of many reasons [why I lost]."
He also expressed confidence in a victory against Paul in the rematch.
He added, "I'd beat him 8/9 times out of 10… He said to me after, 'Bro, you did great, I've been doing this since I was six.'
‘When I think about it I'm like, 'Damn, what have you been doing for all those years? Because you're not that good.'"
Logan, however, was not certain about his brother's claims as he stated Fury did enough to win.
He said, “I think you would have been lucky to get a draw, I think he beat you.”
Paul reiterated his desire to have an immediate rematch against Fury as soon as possible.
Negotiations are ongoing with both fighters with the rematch reportedly set for the United States of America.
