Undisputed fight in shambles as Tyson Fury wants 70/30 split against Oleksandr Usyk.
English professional boxer Tyson Fury has made his demands for the undisputed heavyweight known.
Since his victory in December against Derek Chisora, Fury has teased an undisputed fight against Ukrainian professional boxer Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury is the current WBC heavyweight champion while Usyk holds the IBF, IBO, WBA, and WBO titles in the same division.
A fight between Fury and Usyk would produce the first undisputed champion in the heavyweight boxing division in almost 30 years.
Fury demands 70/30 from Usyk
Usyk's manager Alexander Krassyuk this week explained the difficulties in negotiating a deal with Fury.
Krassyuk explained that they offered Fury a 60/40 winner deal only for him to turn it down.
Fury after the fight against Chisora explained that making a fight with Usyk will be a straightforward process.
Months down the line the fight is far from being made with both camps unable to reach an agreement.
Following the revelation of Usyk's team, Fury has come out to reveal the terms he will accept to make the fight.
Fury made a video that has gone viral explaining his commercial value compared to Usyk.
The Gyspy King then went on to explain that he has no problem taking the fight but will only do so at a 70/30 split.
He said, “I see all this talk of boxing fights. They want 50%. Usyk and all this, Tyson’s being greedy.
"Where I’m standing – Usyk, you and your team are worth 30%.
"You either take it or your leave it. And if you don’t want it, go and fight Daniel Dubois at the Copper Box and get a few million dollars.
"You want to make some real money? Come and fight the Gypsy King.
“But, I will say, for every day from today that you linger and mess around, I’m going to deduct 1% from the 30% until you take it. And if you don’t take it, fight Dubois for two million dollars.
"But how in the world could you ever offer me a deal? Not possible. Tick tock, tick tock. Pussies.”
Fury has dared Usyk not to take the proposed deal and go face off against Daniel Dubois the WBA mandatory.
Usyk is yet to respond to the conditions given by Fury. It is expected that the Gyspy King returns to the ring in April.
