Despite the defeat, Dinesh Nakrani's great performance of a ton and picking up three wickets was Uganda's highlight on the day.

The Cricket Crane's struggles in Namibia continued to manifest as they fell short again, losing by five wickets to the hosts for a third time on Saturday at the ongoing Castle Lite Series in Windhoek.

Despite the defeat, Dinesh Nakrani's man of the match performance of a ton and picking up three wickets was Uganda's highlight on the day.

Brain Masaba won the toss and elected to bat first; three players reached double figures; Dinesh Nakrani 110(45), Ronald Lutaaya 25(11) and Robinson Obuya 27(23) added a shift as Uganda posted 203/6 in 20 overs.

Namibia's Ruben Trumpelmann 3/53 tried to limit Uganda; the Chase saw two players post double figures for the hosts, captain Gerhard Erasmus 80(40) and Jan Frylinck 93(48) as Namibia posted 204/5.

Nakrani (3/26) and veteran Franko Nsubuga (1/29) tried to contain the Eagles but could only do as much as the hosts earned a five wicket victory.

Laurence Mahatlane's charges will try to get one back in the final T20i game before switching to the ODI series against Namibia.

Uganda's Troubles

With Uganda missing four dependable players for various reasons, brothers Simon Ssesazi and Henry Ssenyondo, Juma Miyaji and Riazat Ali Shar, it was always going to be an uphill task for the team to perform well consistently.

The Cricket Cranes have never won the Castle Lite Series; the first edition saw them lose all five outings, while 2022 saw them win two games and lose the rest.
