Cricket Kenya Under-19 team has landed a Ksh4.2 million sponsorship deal ahead of their Tri-series event scheduled for Uganda.
Cricket Kenya have landed a major sponsorship deal from Star Insurance, who pledged to support the Under-19 men’s team in Uganda with Ksh4.2 million.
The team will depart the country during the Easter Holidays to participate in a Tri-series featuring Rwanda U-19 men and the hosts at Jinja SS Cricket Oval, Uganda from March 25 to April 1.
The U-19 men’s team participated in the last ICC Men's U-19 Africa Division I Qualifier that took place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in July 2023. Despite their valiant efforts to be reintroduced onto the Global stage, they came up second behind Namibia, who represented the Continent in the just-concluded event in South Africa.
