The game between Kenya and Uganda at the Victoria Series 2023 has just been washed out because of a heavy downpour and persistent drizzle that made the conditions unplayable at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The result saw Kenya finish first, earning promotion to the Division 1 competition alongside Nigeria and third-placed Sierra Leone.
Kenya had booked a ticket to the final of the qualifiers after beating Sierra Leone by 81 runs in F semi-finals.
Coach Irungu is expected to further trim the number of players to 14 from the initial 32 who were named in the provisional squad.
