Cricket Kenya (CK) announced his appointment on a flexible one-year contract during an event at the Sikh Union Club.

Supporting Ganesh in his new role will be former Kenya internationals Lameck Onyango and Joseph Angara, serving as deputy and assistant coach, respectively.
Both have been integral to the team in acting capacities and are expected to bring valuable local experience to the coaching team.
Ganesh's immediate challenge will be leading Kenya in the ICC World Cup Challenge League, hosted in Nairobi from September 10 to 23.

Ganesh’s insights into the team’s potential were further deepened by his prior visits to Kenya with the Karnataka Cricket Team, which included tours in 1999 and 2000.
His familiarity with Kenyan conditions and players adds an additional layer of expertise to his coaching.
