The all-rounder will be one of the key players that Uganda will be counting on when the Victoria series eventually get underway next week.
"I am excited and grateful that I was voted; however, I am not going to let the award pressure get to me," Mbabazi told Pulse Sports.
"I am working twice as hard because helping the team is the main target now and not the award."
The Victoria Pearls assistant captain also sounded a caution that Rwanda and Tanzania are the other teams that she believes have prepared well.

As the Victoria Series tournament countdown edges closer, the Victoria Pearls camp continues to step up its preparations.
"Rwanda has young, vibrant, agile players while Tanzania has a very good top order; their players are well conditioned and determined."
"All the teams participating are coming in strong, so we have to be prepared for them, too," she added.
Like everyone, Mbabazi says winning the series will motivate them as players but also promote the sport and encourage more youngsters to join it.
"It would be amazing to win this; we would get a lot of support and encourage other kids to come and play the game."
"We head into these series with the same mindset we had last year in the Kenya triangular series, the spirit and trust within us is the same."
Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and the United Arab Emirates are the nations set to participate in the Victoria series, which gets underway at the Lugogo cricket oval on 16th April.
