"For me, teamwork is going to be very key this year,” Victoria Pearls' captain Consy Aweko told Pulse Sports before adding.
“We all come from different backgrounds but we must be able to train and play as a team. Last year was good, we just have to correct our mistakes,” she added.
The all rounder picked up 40 wickets in 2022, the most by any cricketer on the continent is aware of the challenge ahead.
"Majorly we have to be spot on with our bowling, limit the extras and the batters need to learn to stay on the crease.”
“I am working on my fitness and also improving on my bowling,” she added after a strength and conditioning session on Tuesday afternoon at the Lugogo Hockey pitch.
The Suluhu Hassan T20 Cup will take place from March 2nd to 13th and will attract the hosts Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda.
