CRICKET Cricket Cranes head to Rwanda as Mahatlane looks to start on a clean slate
The Cricket Cranes head coach Laurence Mahatlane says it's the right timing for his charges to return to action after the Namibia shortfall in July, where the side lost all their five games at the T20i series.
Pulse Sports, however, reliably understands that dropping the off-spin bowler was to allow him to rest as the Cricket Cranes are set to defend the Africa Cup in South Africa after Rwanda.
"Franco was simply rested, along with Riazat and Dinesh, because the side has another tournament after Rwanda, and they need them fresh," a source that preferred anonymity exclusively told Pulse Sports.
Nsubuga, 42, is the longest-serving cricketer in Ugandan Cricket history, having made his debut 29 years ago, going on to make over 50 appearances in both the twenty-20 and 50-over formats.

Ronak Patel leads the returnees to the squad alongside Roger Mukasa and Siraje Nsubuga, who both missed the Namibia Castle Lite series. At the same time, David Wabwire, a debutant, also makes the team.
