The five-time African player of the year will officially debut for her club side in EA Sports FC 24.
Super Falcons of Nigeria star Asisat Oshoala will feature in the forthcoming soccer video game series EA Sports FC 24.
The 28-year-old has been absent from the game since the introduction of women’s club football in the now-defunct FIFA 23 franchise.
Following Electronic Arts’ end to their 30-year relationship with FIFA, the gaming publishers have gone ahead to acquire a number of licenses for various leagues including the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, and Liga Femeni.
Asisat Oshoala to debut on EA Sports FC 24
For the first time ever, Asisat Oshaola will debut in her club colours following the release of the upcoming game EA Sports FC 24.
Pulse Sports gathered exclusively that the Nigeria international will feature as a playable character for Barca Femeni in the forthcoming game as the Spanish women’s league has been added to FC 24, amid EA’s existing partnership deal with LaLiga.
Already, Oshoala has already been included in the FIFA 23 Women’s World Cup edition.
The Barca Femeni star made the Top 100 highest-rated female footballers in the FIFA 23 Women’s World Cup Mode.
Oshoala debuted on the no.45 position with an OVR of 84, ahead of players like Pernille Harder, Christine Sinclair, and even Kosovare Asllani.
Oshoala is the highest-rated female African footballer in FIFA 23 Women’s World Cup Mode.
Two other Super Falcons stars also made the Top 100: Chiamaka Nnadozie and Rasheedat Ajibade, rated 83 in the Women’s World Cup Mode.
However, the only other African to join the Nigerian players on the Top 100 is Rachael Kundananji of Zambia who completes the list with an OVR of 82.
Kundananji is also among the Top 10 the highest-rated African female footballers in FIFA 23 Women’s World Cup Mode.
