The newly-appointed Taifa Stars head coach Adel Amrouche has released his squad that will take on Uganda Cranes in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group F qualifiers in a fortnight.
Former Aston Villa striker Mbwana Samatta leads the 31-man squad alongside his KRC Genk teammate Kelvin John.
Amrouche has included up to 11 stars who ply their trade in Europe and Asia in the team that is heavily dominated by Khalid Aucho’s Young Africans teammates.
Yanga has seven, Simba three, Kagera Sugar four and Azam two players respectively.
Tanzania sits third on the table with one point, the same as Uganda while Algeria leads with six, four ahead of Niger who is second.
the Matchday three encounter will take place on Friday 24th March at the Suez Canal stadium in Egypt. The reverse tie will be played four days later in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
