Masaba joined BUL in June last year as the third assistant for Isabirye but will now take full charge as Baker Kasule, James Mgala and Dan Kabale support him.
BUL FC has promoted Simeon Masaba to head coach after the departure of Alex Isabirye to Vipers.
Masaba joined BUL in June last year as the third assistant for Isabirye but will now take full charge as Baker Kasule, James Mgala and Dan Kabale support him.
“We’re going to have a discussion with the executive and technical on whether we’re going for a new coach or will maintain the assistants to continue with the project until the end of the season,” BUL chairman Ronald Barente told Pulse Sports.
He added: “Most likely, the chances are that we are not going to bring in a new coach to allow the remaining members to take charge.”
The team sat on Monday and decided to hand Simeone Masaba the job until the end of the season.
“[Simeone] Masaba will handle the team until the end of the season,” the club’s chief executive officer Joseph Mutaka confirmed to this website after the Monday meeting.
Masaba’s first task is to guide the team in a Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 fixture against Onduparaka on Wednesday in Arua.
