UGANDA CUP An all-FUFA Big League clubs final?

Fred Mwambu • 17:03 - 17.04.2023

Two clubs from the FUFA Big League went through as the quarterfinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup rounded up on Sunday.

There is a likely situation where two teams from the StarTimes FUFA Big League could meet in the final of the 2022/23 Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The quarterfinals played over the last week have seen sides make good use of their home advantage as all four hosts advanced.

The ties started with a shocker as reigning winners BUL FC lost an early third-minute lead to Lose 2-1 to Police in Kavumba.

Last season’s losing finalists, Vipers, picked lessons from their fellow giant to brush off Calvary.

While Vipers traded carefully, joint-record holders Express and KCCA weren’t lucky going down to SOltilo Bright Stars and Adjumani Town Council respectively.

With both Adjumani and Police firmly in for the semi-finals, there is a possibility of an all-Big-League final, in case the two find themselves together or an all-UPL affair.
