1XBet sponsors the Waziri Super Cup charity sports tournament, featuring football, rugby, and basketball, promoting youth talent and community development.

Reliable bookmakers company 1XBet have once again demonstrated their commitment to sports and social causes by sponsoring the highly anticipated Waziri Super Cup charity sports tournament.

The event was officially launched on Tuesday, September 24, at Tabere Shopping Centre in Kileleshwa.

Organized by Salim Waziri, the tournament has become a platform for nurturing young talent in Kenya and providing them with opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The Waziri Super Cup, now set for another thrilling edition, will take place from October 10 to December 31 in Webuye town, Bungoma County.

The competition promises to be action-packed, featuring more than 20 teams competing across Kenya’s three most popular sports – football, rugby, and basketball.

With a generous prize pool, teams are set to battle for top honors, with the football category offering Ksh50,000 to the champions, Ksh30,000 to the runners-up, and Ksh20,000 for third place.

"1XBet company attaches great importance to supporting sports and social responsibilities. The Waziri Super Cup is the perfect opportunity to combine sporting events and charity, and we are delighted to be part of this great tournament," said Brian Kiengo, a representative of 1XBet, during the launch event.

Kiengo went on to emphasize the company’s long-term vision, hinting that the partnership with the Waziri Super Cup is just the beginning of a larger strategy to support sports and social projects within Kenya.

"We see the Waziri Super Cup as the first step in our endeavor to support sports and social projects in Kenya. We hope for long-term and productive collaboration and are ready to consider new initiatives," he added.

The tournament, which offers a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills, will also see rugby teams vying for a Ksh20,000 prize for first place, Ksh15,000 for second place, and Ksh10,000 for third place.

Basketball champions will take home Ksh15,000, while the second and third-place teams will receive Ksh10,000 and Ksh8,000 respectively.

All participating teams will be fully kitted by 1XBet and will receive trophies and medals, ensuring the athletes look the part while competing in their respective sports.

Salim Waziri, the founder of the tournament, highlighted the transformative impact the Waziri Super Cup has had on young people's lives.

"The tournament has changed the lives of many young people. For example, some of the participants received sponsorships to continue their studies and expand new business initiatives," Waziri noted.

Waziri also expressed his optimism for the upcoming edition, emphasizing the tournament's role in building confidence and providing new opportunities for athletes.

"The tournament opens new opportunities for young people to help develop their skills and confidence. I see huge potential in many of the athletes," he said.

The Waziri Super Cup will once again take place in Bungoma County, a region famed for producing some of Kenya’s finest sports talent.

Bungoma has long been a hub for national sports talent, supplying players to various national teams and as the competition draws near, the excitement in the county is palpable, with the final matches expected to draw more than 10,000 spectators.

The organizers are promising an entertaining sports show and have invited families and communities to come out in large numbers to support their favorite teams.

The tournament will provide not only high-quality sports action but also an opportunity for communities to come together for a charitable cause.

1XBet, a globally renowned bookmaker with over 15 years of experience in the betting industry, has been licensed to operate in Kenya since 2021.

The company's decision to sponsor the Waziri Super Cup is part of its broader strategy to support local sports and community-driven initiatives.
