Instead, they are want to sign a midfielder and a fullback. According to Fichajes, they have identified the two players they want for those positions: Reijnders and Grimaldo.

The 26-year-old Netherlands midfielder joined Milan in the summer of 2023 and has been sensational for the Rossoneri. Barcelona's Flick is said to be a fan of the former AZ midfielder's physicality, technique and ability to contribute goals. However, he has a contract at the club until 2030, which typically means his transfer fee would be sizable.
Grimaldo on the other hand, was previously at La Masia and knows the club. He has been shining for the German champions, and Barcelona are reportedly contemplating bringing him back to deputise for Alejandro Balde.
