CAF Awards 2023: All you need to know about the Venue, Date, Time and Where to watch
Key nominees for the 2023 CAF Awards include Victor Osimhen, Achraf Hakimi, and Mohamed Salah.
- There you have it, the ceremony is over with, the celebration follows. A good night in Marrakech for Nigeria. Chiamaka Nnadozie wins goalkeeper of the year, four players make the two teams of the year while Asisat Oshoala and Victor Osimhen are the best players in Africa.
- Dadju provides soothing background music as all the award winners on the night pose for a special group photo with their newly claimed gongs.

- And now the big one... The moment we have all been waiting for... Victor Osimhen, Achraf Hakimi and Mohamed Salah, who will be the next AFRICAN FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR!?

- The Africa Best XI MEN includes only one Nigerian, Victor Osimhen in a star-studded team.
- The Super Falcons are very well represented as Michelle Alozie, Osinachi Ohale and Asisat Oshoala are included but surprisingly, the goalkeeper of the year, Chiamaka Nnadozie is missing.
- Up next is the CAF FIFPRO Africa XI of the Year (WOMEN), assembling the best team of players in African Women's football.
- Nigerian legend Emmanuel Amuneke announces the winner... WALID REGRAGUI! It was never in doubt for the Moroccan maestro after his exploits at the World Cup.
- And now for the 2023 CAF COACH OF THE YEAR MEN'S FOOTBALL. Although Abdelhak Benchikha of USM Alger and Senegal coach Aliou Cisse are also nominated, there is one clear favourite which is Morocco's Walid Regragui.
- And the winner is... DESIREE ELLIS!!!
- After a lovely musical performance, we are back to handing out awards... up next is the 2023 COACH OF THE YEAR FOR WOMEN'S TEAMS. South Africa's Desiree Ellis is nominated alongside Morocco's Reynald Pedros and coach of the Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, Jerry Tshabalala.
- Bounou is not here with us tonight so his national team manager Walid Regragui picks up the award on his behalf. I have a feeling this is not the last award Walid will step up to receive tonight.
- Morocco's YASSINE BOUNOU wins the 2023 CAF GOALKEEPER OF THE YEAR (MEN) award.
- CHIAMAKA NNADOZIE wins the 2023 GOALKEEPER OF THE YEAR (WOMEN) and the Paris FC shot-stopper steps up to pick up her prize, presented by Nigerian goalkeeping legend. Precious Dede!
- Mahmoud Kahraba's stunning finish wins the award!

CAF Awards 2023: Ghetto Kids to perform at Africa's biggest awards stage
Meanwhile, this is the latest of the many enormous achievements the dance troupe has reached in both the sporting and social spheres.
- We take a break from the awards for a brief interlude, the Ghetto Kids are treating us to a wonderful dance performance.
- The 2023 Men's Young Player of the Year award goes to... Lamine Camara of Senegal.
- The 2023 Women's Young Player of the Year award goes to...Nesryne El Chad!
- South Africa's Percy Tau is the 2023 Men's Interclub Player of the Year after a brilliant season!
- Fatima Tagnaout is the 2023 Women's Interclub Player of the Year after a fantastic year!
- And the winner is... AL AHLY!!! The reigning CAF Champions League holders win the award as expected.
- The next award is the 2023 CAF CLUB OF THE YEAR (MEN)... And the final nominees are Al Ahly of Egypt, Wydad Athletic of Morocco and Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.
