Arsenal suffered another loss in consecutive weeks to Nottingham Forest but it was a big win for the side that was promoted into the Premier League last season.
It was destined for Arsenal not to gather maximum points in the remainder of their matches in the Premier League.
And so it was when they traveled to City ground to take Nottingham Forest in their penultimate game and lost by a lone goal scored by Taiwo Awoniyi.
The loss for Arsenal meant Man City are Premier League champions for the sixth time while the win secured promotion for topfight football next season.

4 Reasons Arteta should be sacked after Arsenal's disappointing end to the season
Mikel Arteta no doubt has transformed Arsenal into a formidable team this season but there are still some loop holes in his managerial style which cost the team the Premier League title.
Here are 3 reasons Arsenal lost to Nottingham Forest
1. They came into the game with low morale
The loss against Brighton at the Emirates last weekend meant Arsenal’s hopes were dashed in winning their first Premier League title after 19 years.
Knowing full well that Man City needed only a win to be crowned champions against fumbling Chelsea, the odds were not in their favour.
2. They played against a side who wanted to survive
Nottingham Forest wanted a win to secure their Premier League status for next season and they knew they had to give it their all against the Gunners.
The 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge in the past weekend boosted their confidence going into the match and they played as a unit which helped the team tactically.
And Forest benefitted from their resilient performance as they defended their 1-0 first half lead which not only guaranteed their status in the Premier League but handed the title to City.
3. Everything worked against Arsenal
Arsenal had a decent game but failed to find the back of the net in the entire 90 minutes. Forest were lucky as Taiwo Awoniyi’s goal took a little bit of deflection from Gabriel that beat Aaron Ramsdale.
