Lagos City Cup: 36 Lions vs Kazeem Eletu
It was a clash of Philosophies as Prince Kazeem Eletu faced off against 36 Lions in the final of the Lagos City Cup.
Kareem was interested in letting his players express themselves in the final of the competition put together to scout players for European club.
For Kazeem, letting his players show what they can do was the only way for him and that defined his tactics in the final.
However, his opposite number, the Lions, the tactic was simple - just win.
The Lions set up in a deep block and hit PKE on the counter and it was this approach that led to the early goal which they held on to until in added time when PKE got a lifeline.
The referee pointed to spot following a hand ball in the Lion's box, ironic cheers from Kazeem bench followed the decision as they confidently believed they were the better side and should be winning.
They were confident of their player scoring the penalty, but it ended in premium tears in what turned out to be the last kick of the match.
Victor for Lions, despair for Kazeem.
