Lamine Yamal has continued to attract serious interest in the transfer market.

Barcelona have made it crystal clear—Lamine Yamal is untouchable.

The club’s sporting director, Deco, insists there is "no discussion, no price" on the 17-year-old sensation, despite an eye-watering €250 million (£208m/$261m) bid from Paris Saint-Germain being swiftly rebuffed.

Yamal’s rapid ascent in world football has been nothing short of spectacular.

At just 17, he has already secured a European Championship winners’ medal and claimed both the prestigious Kopa Trophy and Golden Boy award.

With his dazzling performances, comparisons to Lionel Messi have become inevitable, and even football legends are taking notice.

Yamal also chose the jersey no.19 previously won by the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner and Barca legend.

While Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi have showered Yamal with praise, Deco highlighted what makes the youngster truly special.

"Yamal is one of the special ones. Not only does he have talent, but he also has a different mental capacity," Deco told reporters as per GOAL.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently revealed that PSG had submitted a €250 million bid for Yamal, a figure that would have shattered the world transfer record.

However, Barca rejected the offer outright, reinforcing their stance on building the team around their young prodigy.

Yamal is currently contracted to the club until 2026, the maximum term allowed under Spanish law for a minor.

However, reports suggest that once he turns 18 on July 13, he will follow in the footsteps of Pedri and Gavi by signing a long-term extension until 2030.

With Barcelona standing firm and Yamal’s star only continuing to rise, it seems the ‘Messi regen’ is set to shine at Camp Nou for years to come.
