Mo Salah sends Christmas greetings
This year, the 31-year-old has chosen a different part as he spoke out about the turmoil and violence happening in the Middle East.
According to the Premier League star, while Christmas is a normal season for celebration of love, this year’s comes with a heavy heart for him.
Salah believes that the ongoing conflict in the region has made the holiday season a very difficult one.
“Christmas is a time when families get together and celebrate,” Mo Salah said in a post accompanied by a black and white photo of a Christmas tree on Twitter.
“With the brutal war going on in the Middle East, especially the death and destruction in Gaza, this year we get to Christmas with very heavy hearts and we share the pain of those families who are grieving the loss of their loved ones,” he added.
“Please do not forget them and do not get used to their suffering. Merry Christmas.”

The Egyptian forward has always used his platform to celebrate with Christians despite being a Muslim.
