The defender has been clubless since he left Simba wa Nairobi in August 2022.
Nairobi City Stars have announced the signing of defender Abdallah Salim on a deal until the end of the current season.
The 32-year-old had been training with Simba wa Nairobi under coach Nicholas Muyoti for the last three weeks.
Salim returns to the club he left six months ago, having been clubless after being released by City Stars in August 2022.
"Salim Abdallah is back at Nairobi City Stars to add solidity to our backline ahead of the second leg. His return was necessitated by key injuries to two centrebacks Timothy Muganda and Edwin Buliba, who have struggled with injuries sustained during the lengthy pre-season that ended in November 2022.
With the two defenders out we were forced to plug in defensive midfielder Ronney Kola to hold forte for a better part of the first leg," confirmed the team coordinator Samson Otieno.
City Stars are hoping Salim can strengthen their defence that has soaked in 22 goals in the FKF Premier League this season.
The defender previously played for AFC Leopards, Ligi Ndogo, Sofapaka and Posta Rangers.
Leopards released him after the completion of the 2018/19 season and shocked many by opting to join the Kawangware-based side who were then in the National Super League (NSL).
Simba wa Nairobi are placed 15th on the standings with 12 points from 16 games.
