Ablaze will face Ojodu city on Tuesday at the Legacy pitch, National Stadium, Surulere.

The assistant captain of Ablaze Football Academy U-15, Abdul-Raheem Taye, made his debut in Nigeria's third-tier league, the Nationwide League (NLO) One, against Lekki United for the U-19 side.

It was a dream come true for the young left-footed whiz, who has been in good shape since last year, winning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at the Hon. Igbasan Cup tournament in April.

He was also a force to be reckoned with at the Bayern Youth Cup qualifiers and even gave a superb performance at the Bayern Youth Cup Nationals.

Taye has been receiving interest from some clubs and academies, including on the international stage.

He said, "My dream is to play at the top level of football and also make my country proud at the national level.

"I have worked so hard for this day, and I am proud of how far I have come and will push hard to where I am heading. Thanks to the coaches and my teammates in the U15 category who supported me and pushed me that I could go for it."

The boy, whose identical twin brother also plays in the U-15 category, reveals he wants more in his education and football.

"One step at a time for me, hopefully, I get a scholarship to help me further my education outside the country and play football, I want to achieve both"

Taye will be looking forward to playing for the National Team U-15 or 17 in the future, as he promises to keep pushing.

Ablaze is currently seventh in NLO Group A2 after three matches and will face Ojodu City on Tuesday at the Legacy pitch, National Stadium, Surulere.
