Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman has displayed his CAF Player of the Year award to Atalanta fans right before their clash against Empoli.
Lookman was named the African Best Player for the year 2024 after an impressive calendar for club and country.
Last Monday, the winger made history by defeating Simon Adingra, Ronwen Williams, Serhou Guirassy, and Achraf Hakimi to win the award.
He became the sixth Nigerian international to win the CAF Award, joining the likes of Kanu Nwankwo, Victor Osimhen and others on the list.

Lookman returned to Atalanta following his African Player of the Year award on Monday ahead of their clash against Empoli.
The Nigerian international presented his award to the fans before the game as they celebrated his win with him.
Atalanta’s official account on X posted a picture of him celebrating with the fans and added the caption, “Signore e signori ecco a voi il Pallone d’oro africano 2024 🤩🖤💙 The CAF Men’s Player of the Year is back in town 🌟🇳🇬.”
Lookman also went on to take a picture with the club president, joining him on the pitch while holding his award.
The winger also went on to celebrate his CAF award win with a goal in the game as Atalanta sealed a 3-2 win on the night.
