The Gunners have had two bids turned down by West Ham and Man City officially got involved in the bidding process on Monday night, sending in an offer of their own - £80m plus an extra £10m in add-ons.

The Hammers have rejected that offer while insisting he will not be sold for less than their asking price which is believed to be £100m, most of that must be paid upfront.

According to The Telegraph, Arsenal are preparing a third bid and Man City will weigh up whether to make a second bid for the England midfielder in order to reach an agreement with West Ham.
