AFC Leopards is in turmoil as former official calls for SGM amid player division, coaching staff changes, and a winless streak.

Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) giants AFC Leopards find themselves in the midst of internal strife as club member Suleiman Angulu has issued a call for a Special General Meeting (SGM).

Angulu, who once served as the Deputy Secretary General during a tumultuous period when a coup against former chairman Daniel Mule was conducted, made his intentions clear in a statement released on Monday.

His concerns encompass a range of issues affecting the club, including FIFA cases, dubious player recruitment, transparency, and poor performances.

The call for an SGM hints at a deeper crisis within the club, raising questions about its management and decision-making processes.

Angulu's statement, released on Monday, emphasized the urgency of addressing critical issues within AFC Leopards.

“I Suleiman Angulu, member No. 3434, do request NEC to issue a SGM notice within seven (7) days from today to discuss the status of the club. If NEC refuses or fails to call for SGM, then I, Angulu, will use section 8(4) procedure to call for SGM. It is a request I am making to SG/NEC," he wrote in a letter addressed to the National Executive Committee.

Meanwhile, AFC Leopards is bracing itself for a major shake-up in its technical unit.

Various reports indicate that head coach Tom Juma is anticipated to vacate his role, with the club poised to announce his successor shortly.

Speculation also surrounds the departure of key figures on the technical and managerial fronts, heightening the sense of instability within the club.

As reports swirl around the potential exits of coach Tom Juma and goalkeeper coach Lawrence Webo, revelations emerge of a deeply divided squad.

Instances of players arriving late for training and some missing sessions with flimsy excuses paint a picture of internal discord.

Sources within the club suggest that a senior player's attempts to assert experience were met with skepticism from younger teammates, further contributing to the factionalism.

AFC Leopards, a club with a rich history and a passionate fan base, is currently navigating through challenging times.

Ingwe's winless streak has extended to six matches, and they find themselves languishing in the 17th position with just four points, a mere three points above bottom-placed Sofapaka.
